Our contract is flexible with a minimum hire period of 1 month and all we require is 2 weeks notice in advance of you vacating the unit. We aim to be as flexible as possible to suit your storage requirements in West Cornwall.

Who We Are

West Cornwall Storage is a locally owned and run self storage business. It is situated on the outskirts of Hayle and in a great location to service surrounding areas such as St Ives, Penzance, Helston, Camborne and Redruth.

In February 2026, Scott and Ben acquired West Cornwall Storage. Both being born in Cornwall the opportunity to take on the business was one not to be turned down. Scott already owns two other self storage sites in Cornwall, St Ives and Penryn, so the location of West Cornwall Storage was the perfect addition, being reasonably central between the two and especially as he is originally from Hayle. This is Ben’s first entry into the self storage world after running his own successful Employers Agent and Quantity Surveying business that had offices from Truro, to Exeter and into Wales.

The final member of the team you will see on site is Roger, Scott’s dad, who mans the office on a Friday and will often be seen helping with the site maintenance.

Since taking over, we’re starting work to transform and expand the site, investing in major improvements to create a modern, secure storage facility our customers rely on today. Clients will see some continued developments during throughout this year.

Since taking over the site, we’re investing heavily in improving every part of the facility – creating a cleaner, safer, and more accessible storage environment for our customers across West Cornwall.

Upgrades

We’re continually improving our storage units and site infrastructure to create a more efficient and customer-friendly experience. Within the first few months of ownership the CCTV systems have been fully updated using more sophisticated cameras and an upgraded recording facility. There are additional improvements coming soon which are aimed at further enhancing the site security while also making client access significantly easier.

Security You Can Trust

Protecting your belongings is our priority. The site is equipped with a recently upgraded CCTV monitoring and a soon to be installed state of the art electronic gates and customer access system.

Easy Access 24/7

A new gate system will be installed in July/Aug 2026 and will increase security while still enabling 24/7 access. Customers will even be able to open the gates from the comfort of their car, so no need to get out to open them on a rainy day. The site has great access, customers can drive up to their container for quick and easy loading and unloading as well as it being flood lit in the evenings.
